Mr Zekri graduated with a law degree from Garyounis, University of Benghazi in 1984. After the liberalization of the laws governing the work of lawyers by the Libyan government in 1990, Mr. Zekri began his career as a lawyer pleading before district courts, then the court of appeal, and has been pleading before the Libyan Supreme Court since 2007. He specializes in a variety of legal sectors, particularly Civil and Commercial Law.
After completing his Law degree, Mr Zekri pursued an extensive career in agriculture where he became the Director of the Agriculture Training Center in Janzour. Mr Zekri also taught Agriculture Legislation at the Agriculture Institute in Tripoli from 1985 until 1996.
Mr Zekri specializes in a variety of legal sectors and practiced as a private lawyer from 1993 until 2000 when he joined Zahaf & Partners Law Firm and has been a valuable part of our team since. He is active in the following subjects:
Mr. Zekri has an extensive experience in Civil law claims for compensation and has represented a large number of foreign companies in civil claims in Libyan Courts.
Advised several clients concerning the enforcement procedure of foreign judgments in Libya
Mr Zekri is an advocate for Human Rights, in particular, Prisoners of Conscience.
As a lawyer who argues before the Libyan Supreme Court, Mr Zekri continues to study and research the most recent rulings of the Supreme Court and is considered a predominant figure in the Libyan legal society.
