Introduction
Zekri Ali Zekri, a partner at Zahaf & Partners Law Firm, began his distinguished legal career upon graduating from Garyounis, University of Benghazi in 1984. Following the liberalization of legal practice laws in Libya in 1990, Mr. Zekri embarked on his professional journey, initially advocating in district courts before progressing to the court of appeal. Since 2007, he has been actively presenting and arguing cases before the Libyan Supreme Court, further establishing his expertise in high-profile and complex legal matters, with a strong emphasis on Civil and Commercial Law, where he has built a reputation for excellence and a steadfast commitment to justice. Mr. Zekri’s extensive experience and profound knowledge in these areas have made him a Prominent figure of the legal community and a trusted advisor to clients.

Experience
After completing his Law degree, Mr. Zekri served as the Director of the Agriculture Training Center in Janzour. He also taught Agriculture Legislation at the Agriculture Institute in Tripoli from 1985 until 1996. Mr. Zekri specializes in various legal sectors and practiced as a private lawyer from 1993 until 2000, when he joined Zahaf & Partners Law Firm, and has been a valuable part of the team since. He is active in the following subjects:
- Extensive experience in Civil law claims for compensation and has represented numerous foreign companies in civil claims in Libyan Courts.
- Advised several clients concerning the enforcement procedure of foreign judgments in Libya.
- Advocate for human rights, particularly for prisoners of conscience.
- As a lawyer who argued before the Libyan Supreme Court, Mr. Zekri continues to study and research the most recent rulings of the Supreme Court and is considered a predominant figure in Libyan legal society.
